Resume Parser

What's Resume Parser ?

Resume Parser is an application that parses resume for specific skills according to Job Descriptions and provides results in Excel format. The candidate’s eligibility for the job can be determined based on the skills obtained, frequency of skills acquired, and the percentage of skills obtained.

Problem Statement

During the hiring process, the most time-consuming task for employers is screening resumes of candidates when they are seeking specific skillsets. The Talent Acquisition department needs more time and resources to filter through many resumes to find an appropriate candidate.

<span data-metadata=""><span data-buffer="">Why UX was required?

The Engineering team at Calsoft had initially come up with an informal UI which was more of coding at the command Line Interface. A blueprint was ready but with an unappealing UI, which would have perplexed the Acquisition team. Hence an urge for a better UI originated and the UX came to their rescue.

Design Process

<span data-metadata=""><span data-buffer="">How did it all start!

I was briefed about the project, it’s requirement, functional specifications and the end users of this product. The hiccups they were facing in showcasing the built framework and the challenges off-course! Based on the inputs from the Engineering, the UX design process was followed. During the Ideation phase, gathered all the specification documents that were drafted for the project. Thoroughly checked each of them and came up with a User Flow diagram. Performed Competition Analysis, especially for the Search Engine aspect from the job portals. The draft design version was run through the team to get their feedback and updated the mocks based on the suggestions placed.
